Narmada Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Narmada located in Amarkantak of Madhya Pradesh state. It is also called Shondesh Shakti Peeth. Narmda temple, which has a holy kund made at the source of the river Narmada, is the most important temple at Amarkantak. There are about twenty small temples in the Narmada Mandir, each one of which is important in its own way.

There is the Sati temple, which is devoted to Parvati. The temple is constructed at the point from where the holy river Narmada has its origin.Narmada Udgam Kund, the sacred birthplace of the Narmada River, was originally built by Rewa Nayak, as indicated by his idol at the site. Many years later, the temple was shaped and expanded by Bhonsle, the king of Nagpur. Subsequently, Maharani Devi Ahilya carried out significant renovations, giving the temple its present form.
